Before my Uncle and Aunt got married this October, I offered to take an engagement photo for them. They got married on Mackinac Island.

This is a bit older shoot from earlier this summer. A co-worker of mine wanted some family photos done with her daughters. We stopped at various locations around downtown Lansing. Her girls are so pretty (and so is their Mom).

And we had to a little bit of fun with the shoot too ...
the girls just had to get diva model-like.

Jay was gracious to help me build my photography portfolio. What a talented young man. He is an awesome basketball player who plays for Grand Ledge High School and played Grand Rapids Storm Basketball this past spring/summer. Here is a sneak peak into his photo session.

Senior Photos -- Meghan

I had the privilege of photographing Meghan for her senior pictures today. Meghan's family moved to Florida a few years ago, but she came back for a bit this summer to visit with family and friends and to have her senior pictures taken. Her friend Sarah came along and we got some photos of the 2 girls together too. Here is a sneak peak at her session.

Day at the Beach

Jen and I went to Holland State Park with friends on Sunday. I had a senior photo shoot first with Kim's daughter Courtney and then we played at the beach. Jen enjoys playing in the sand.

This was just one of her many creation. She was making Seagull cakes.

I love this guy just trying to sleep on the beach.

Of course, you can't visit a Michigan beach without taking a picture of the local lighthouse.

My niece Kayla modeled for me last Thursday. She is an awesome young lady. Just a sample of what we did around Grand Ledge.

RC Air Show

My friend Josette invited me to an RC (remote control) air show. It was sponsored by the Ionia County Model Aircraft Club. The air show was in Saranac, MI. Apparently I need to look into a different background for my blog. It apparently is distorting the color of the photos. Suggestions anyone???

June's inspiration

Sparklers

One of the best things for my daughter this July 4th holiday is sparklers. It took her a few years to be okay with it. Now this year, she cannot get enough of them.

Of course we had to test run a firework too before the big show on Saturday.

New Start

Just I should just jump in and start this blog. I hope you enjoy looking through the lens of my camera as much as I do.

This is an older church in downtown Lansing. Downtown Lansing is a great place for photos. Plan on doing more photography there soon.
